About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings News within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. A nice article about Jeff Zatkoff, Kings goalie prospect. You can never have enough good goalies!!

If nothhing else Jeff Zatkoff has terrific size for a goaltender and will cover plenty of net. Wasn't overly impressed with his performance during the World Juniors two years ago. It could have been that he was enjoying himself too much and wasn't really focused. He seems really ultra focused this season though. Nice to see a relative unknown school such as Miami(Ohio) become a top flight college team. I'm wondering whether the Kings will sign Zatkoff if they go to the National finals and win it or if Zatkoff wins the Hobey Baker award). I don't think he would have much else to prove. And if the Kings do, man would we ever have a glut at the "tender position(thanks mostly to DTaylor and Al Murray) though DLombardi had a hand in JBernier and LRowat...Let's see now JLB,JSAubin,Danny Taylor,EErsberg who I see heading back to Sweden if LA doesn't give him a shot soon,JQuick, and the aforementioned JZatkoff. This is a nice situation the Kings find themselves...Now if we could only get some more scorers and forwards with bite at Centre and RW.
PS Didn't the Kings have a Hobey Baker award winner at the goaltending ranks before in Robb Stauber...
DPS Here's for a long and successful career for Zatkoff ...
Huh? So if a team makes it to the tournament more than a few times but doesn't get to the FROZEN Four, it's not a 'top flight' team?
For the record not sure about the other comment but I have no affiliation and or affinity to Miami of Ohio. But it has a good program and has had a good one for many years. (I'm a born and raised a Cornell Big Red Hockey fan).
