There's a reason the Red Wings have the best record in the league and the Los Angeles Kings have the worst record.

For 60 minutes Tuesday both teams showed why they are where they are in the standings, and the Wings defeated the Kings, 3-0.

Tomas Holmstrom, Mikael Samuelsson and Johan Franzen scored for the Wings and Chris Osgood turned aside 27 shots, moving past Rogie Vachon for No. 15 all-time with 356 career victories.
