Failing to make significant progress: In fairness to general manager Dean Lombardi, it appeared his aggressiveness in the free agent marketplace last summer would make this team better. But his moves haven't had that effect. They rank last in the Western Conference in goals against, and they are the only team in the West that isn't above .500 or flirting with it.
Deserving of more credit: When the USA names its Olympic team in 2010, Dustin Brown is going to be on the top line.
