Goaltender Daniel Taylor made stops on three of four shooters to give the Manchester Monarchs a 3-2 shootout victory over the Binghamton Senators in front of 4,710 fans at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena last night.
Manchester (17-16-4-2) moves into fifth place in the Atlantic Division with 40 points after its second straight win. Binghamton (17-16-4-3) is ranked fifth in the East Division with 41 points.
Monarchs center David Meckler, right wing Teddy Purcell and center Trevor Lewis scored in the shootout against goaltender Jeff Glass as Taylor denied all of Binghamton's shooters except center Ilya Zubov.
