The June draft is chock-a-block full of defencemen apart from centre Steven Stamkos, who's likely going No. 1 overall, but keep an eye on Kyle Beach, the hothead Everett Silvertips pivot, who's the second-best forward in the bunch.
Beach, who was hurt and didn't play in the Top Prospects game here, has big talent but he rubs people the wrong way. Off the ice, he's polite; on it, he's probably the most hated player in the WHL.
"He's like Eddie Haskell," said one WHL observer.
"It's not a popularity contest out there," Beach told a Kelowna play-by-play man, who doesn't much care what people think of him.
