The Colorado Avalanche took a dual hit on the injury front Monday.
The team learned that forward Ryan Smyth suffered a concussion after his collision with the padded partition near the Avalanche bench. He will not be able to exercise or return to the ice until he is symptom free. He also suffered a minor shoulder separation remains sidelined for an indefinite period of time.
The news got worse for Colorado as Marek Svatos was diagnosed with a torn ACL that will require surgery and sideline the forward for the remainder of the season.
OP, I hope you're not serious. The Johnson hit was perfectly legal and not really all that exciting if he doesn't hit the wrong spot on the bench. The crew at the Pepsi Center should have more padding there. The Klemm hit was a penalty, but FAR from "Gooning it up" It's a shame they both resulted in injuries, but it's not like someone went head hunting - usually we only expect that kind of stuff from Pronger.
OP see YOUR team for goonery.... god i think its good that teams might not get the wrong idea and injure our goaltender again REMEMBER RYAN hahaha svatos too
