About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings News within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Tonight was the first time in my 19 years as a Kings fan that I brought a sign to a game. I made one sign that read, "KOPITASTIC"
Tonight was the first time in my 19 years as a Kings fan that I brought a sign to a game. I made one sign that read, "KOPITASTIC" since whenever Kopitar does anything amazing I say, "Kopitastic!". The other sign I made was initially going to read, "JACK > phaneuf" but I had to change my idea since Staples Center only allows signs equal to or smaller than 11"x17" and I wanted to get the sign all on one line. Instead, I went for "KILL JACK KILL" and quite frankly, the sign looked damn good. I walked through the metal dectectors at Staples Center, a security guard looked at my sign, a puzzled look formed on his face, and he got the opinion of two other security guards. All three security personnel concluded that my "KILL JACK KILL" sign was unacceptable because "Kill" is a deragotary term....
As a fan I wonder what sort of message we send out to the younger audience whenever we do,say or bring things to the game. Consider this, you are having an effect on the little ones...Kill,kill,kill I'm sure you can come up with somthing more imaginative

I think that's pretty good. Kill Kill Kill KILL KILL KILL KILL!!! I will teach my babies to eat the babies of the babies of all ducks season ticket holders. I am to ducks fans what Mike Tyson is to boxing. Kill kill, eat eat, eat the ears, I hate the ducks. I hate the flames too. I hate all other 29 teams and their young. Go Kings.

Normally you could just get a poster card and put it over top of Kill Jack Kill and glue it on, then unstick it at the game. They do that plenty of times at Canucks games at GM Place, to get various TSN signs that say stuff like "Tucker Sucks Nuts" or something stupid on it.
Although, I bet you'd be in beaucoup de trouble if they ripped off your poster card sign that says "Kopi, score me a hattie!" and find your KILL JACK KILL sign...
It's freakin' hockey people! I agree.... Kill is not a cuss word. Kids hear more derogatory words watching the 5 o clock news! What is this world coming to?
I remember when I had a nuaic store and the landlord made us take down a window display because it said the name of the record lable real small in the corner of each poster, Kill Rock Stars. As if someone is going to see this poster and then go kill a rock star.

I'm sure you can find a forum where people would understand you and where they would actually tolerate your presence. Hm. I'm not THAT sure, but it's worth a try.
