Sens blanked by sad-sack Kings (Ottawa Sun)

The Senators might have hit rock bottom in the City of Angels Thursday night.

Facing the NHL’s worst team as this four-game Western road swing continued, the Senators came up empty for the third straight night with a 2-0 loss to the sad-sack Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Centre.

To keep this trip from being a total disaster, the Senators face a must-win tomorrow night against the Phoenix Coyotes after what turned out to be an ugly effort against the Kings.

I'm forced to wonder if Garrioch even watched the game, or if he just wrote the story off the box score. I know it's Garrioch, but Jesus! I thought the Sens dominated the first and obviously the 3rd period. They just ran into a hot goalie; it happens.

Kings had the tougher schedule, as well.

It always gets me steamed whenever the Kings win a game and it's reported that the other team just played bad. Never saying the Kings played a great game.
Ersberg played a fantastic game, no matter how you look at it.
