With the trade deadline approaching and the Los Angeles Kings still sitting in last place, it's time to make some changes.
Los Angeles has been in a hole since the first week of the regular season. With players they acquired last summer not doing what was expected, they will look to be traded.
But who are the Kings willing to give up?
It's been brought up that All-Star defenseman Rob Blake is willing to waive his no-trade clause in order for Los Angeles to make a swap. The most likely destination for Blake at this point is Ottawa—a team that remains the best in the East and would like to add strength to their defensive core before playoffs arrive.
Numbers this season don't lie. Man, if Emery has .891 on a team like Senators where even Gerber has numbers close to the numbers of elite goaltenders, then NOBODY will EVER convince me that he is better goaltender than Labarbera. No. ****ing. Way.
And if we add to that his "character", and his Cloutier-like contract...I say NNOOOOOOO!
Jeebus, people complain SO MUCH about that Cloutier situation...and you would be OK with DL trading Nagy and Modry (Nagy and Modry>>>>>>>>2nd rounder) for Emery?!
This is just a rumor, as some recent interviews mention the GM being satisfied with our goalie situation and how it will develop.
All of this trade Blake stuff began because people chose not to regard the Doctor's prognosis of Blake returning to 100% health by December 1st. He has been playing better since he has recovered, just hope it keeps up.
