The hardest hit made by the Nashville Predators on Thursday was when assistant coach Peter Horachek put a hit on the outside door to the dressing room.
The passion shown by Horachek was sorely missing on the ice as the Predators fell 4-1 to the Los Angeles Kings, who came into the game Thursday night at the Sommet Center with the worst points total in the league.
With only 10 games left to play, the Predators are only two points out of a playoff spot. But team captain Jason Arnott had to admit that there is a feeling that the season is slipping away.
“It is a huge disappointment,” said Arnott. “It just went bad in the third and we didn’t recover.
