It was a come-from-behind effort for Los Angeles, as the Kings tied the contest late in the second period and won the game with three third-period scores.
Defenseman Kevin Dallman scored the Kings’ game-winner, beating Dan Ellis from the blueline to put Los Angeles ahead 2-1 with 14:58 remaining. Just over five minutes later, Alexander Frolov redirected a shot for his second goal of the game and a 3-1 advantage.
Nashville’s J.P. Dumont had opened the scoring with his first goal with 11:10 left in the second period, capping a two-on-one rush with Alexander Radulov. Kings goalie Erik Ersberg stopped Radulov’s shot, but the rebound slid straight to Dumont, who knocked in his 27th goal of the season.
