The quest for credibility took another step backwards Saturday. The home team might have excelled if last year’s Flames came to play. Calgary couldn’t buy a win on the road then. Enter Iron Mike and Iginla who’s making his own case to be Hart-worthy this year and chalk up another loss for the Kings… ouch! In fairness, this year’s Kings exhibits an ability to come back from behind. The most burning question the Kings’ can’t answer is why they fail to get started until their opponent scores first. This propensity is becoming habit forming when you consider Los Angeles often comes out of the gate slow. Preissing explained this phenomenon to the L. A. Times here:
"It seems like, at this point, we need that goal to get going," said defenseman Tom Preissing. "That's ridiculous. To spot teams a goal in this league, you're starting off on a bad foot."
