The LA Kings came into town and stole two hard points and left taking points in 10 of their last 14 games and winning the seventh game of an eight game road trip.
Anze Kopitar proved he is a special 20-year old as he scored his 23rd and 24th goals of the year. Ron Hainsey scored his sixth (all PP) and Rick Nash deposited his 29th, to tie it at 2 in the second period.
The OT brought no results and the shootout fell in favor of the Kings, as Patrick O'Sullivan buried the GW Shootout Goal.
Even though the extra point was lost, a couple of highs were noted. The PP was 2-for-4 and directed seven shots on net. The play of Dick Tarnstrom was impressive and he was able to collect an assist in over 18 minutes of play. He had not played in the last two weeks as he was held up with immigration problems following his trade for Curtis Glencross.
