The Kings’ Michael Cammalleri slumped badly after a 10 goals-in-10 games start, but he received almost 100,000 votes more than teammate Anze Kopitar, a much more deserving choice. Cammalleri finished fourth among forwards just behind Iginla, and received about 18,000 votes more than the Sharks’ Joe Thornton, who is in the midst of another fine year.
Is it just me or is 100,000 votes terrible? Yeah, Crosby only got over half a million votes.
Think about it. When did voting come up? I'm sure it's up for at least over a month. So let's just say... 30 days.
Staples Center seats 18,118. Obviously we're not selling out because of the crappy display on the ice. But we should still have say... 10,000 people voting once per day. How many votes is that for Cammy, Kopi, Lubo, Blake? 300,000.
It just goes to show that no one gives a rat's *** when it comes to voting.
