Prior to this season, the Coyotes and the Kings games were a home dominant series. Enter Bryzgalov and seemingly the Coyotes own Los Angeles. If there ever was a case of losing the battle but winning the war anyway would be Saturday’s loss in Phoenix. Feel free to suggest that a loss is a loss is a loss. I think otherwise and here’s why, Saturday’s game the Kings played differently and they scored... three times no less.
Right after the best waiver wire pick-up near ever, the Coyotes not only won but shut out the Kings ... twice ... ouch! The funny thing about that is when Bryzgalov played for the Ducks he was hardly the wall he became in Phoenix. I like the saying I have read recently where goaltending is 75% of the equation unless a team doesn’t have it, then it is 100%. For whatever reason, Bryzgalov and the Coyotes are the right match and good for them.
