Yesterday coach Mark Morris put the Monarchs through a taxing practice, sending a no-nonsense call to battle stations. The situation for the Monarchs, who have never missed the playoffs, might not yet be desperate but their opponents have designs on turning it that way.
"I hope that they realize it. I was pretty stern with them," said Morris. "We had a big skate today. We got it down to the paint pretty good. You want to send the right message without killing the fun. If they didn't get the message they should have."
