Last week, their season was going south.
This weekend, the Manchester Monarchs are journeying south in hopes of solidifying their hold on the fourth and final playoff berth in the Atlantic Division.
The Monarchs take their three-game win streak to Norfolk, Va., for a pair of 7:15 p.m. games against the Admirals today and tomorrow. The trip concludes Sunday at 5 p.m. in Hershey, Pa., against the Eastern Conference defending champion Bears.
Last month, the lowly Admirals visited the Queen City for two games, giving the Monarchs a major headache in both shootout decisions. Norfolk won the first encounter, 3-2, and lost the second game, 7-6, the following night at Verizon Wireless Arena.
