Default Moller's destiny a question (Chilliwack Times)

There's no denying Oscar Moller's hockey future looks bright. The question is whether he will start the season in a Chilliwack Bruins uniform or in an NHL jersey once training camp comes to a close.

In just two years with the Bruins after coming over from Spanga, Sweden, the 18-year-old has developed into a WHL scoring machine, and because of his stellar play many pundits are wondering if it's enough to land him a spot on a young Los Angeles Kings club who drafted him 52nd overall in 2007.

Moller's destiny a question

With the current crop of forwards, I don't think Moller will see NHL time this season.

Regardless of whether he makes this year's squad, I am happy to be reminded that a player possessing this huge talent is in the pipeline. It definitely helps in keeping the faith. Thanks RR.

Someone(Oscar Moller or Teddy Purcell) is going to win that second line scoring RW position. Moller has a good a chance as anyone...All round Moller is probably the better player...

not likely. i doubt that moller wins the position outright. if there is any doubt, dean has to send him down to chilliwack since one he plays ten games he has to stay with the big club and given his age he cant be sent down to the ahl. purcell on the other hand can be given a longer look with the big club and if it doesnt work out can be sent down to the ahl to continue his development.

I love Moller, but he needs to gain like 20 lbs of muscle and dominate in camp to even have a chance to make it to the NHL. Right now it's Purcell's position to lose, and remember he was the top rookie in the AHL last year...

Purcell 4 LIFE!!!

i more than anyone loves oscar but the notion that there's a position up for grabs between him and purcell is a stretch at best.

ps.

Purcell 4 LIFE!!!
Boyle fits the 2nd line RW spot more because of his big shot and Frolov's playmaking ability. Purcell would be good to get Calder and Handzus going on the 3rd line because he's more creative with the puck. I like these line combinations to start the season....

Brown- Kopitar- O'Sullivan
Frolov- Stoll- Boyle
Calder- Handzus- Purcell
Moulson/Ellis/Ivanans- Armstrong- Richardson

Great Lines! And although I would love to see Moulson, we need Ivanans to mix these up on that last line.
