Chilliwack Bruins forward Oscar Moller signed an amateur tryout agreement Wednesday with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. The 19-year-old Swede and second-round pick of the Los Angeles Kings is eligible to play in the Monarchs first-round playoff series versus Providence Bruins.
Moller scored 39 goals and tallied 82 points for the Bruins this past season and although he's signed a contract, he's not allowed to play for Manchester next year because league rules restrict players under 20.
Chances are the Prospera faithful will be chanting Moller's name in September, as the sniper must stick with the NHL Kings otherwise be sent down to Chilliwack
