Matt Fillier was the 7th round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry draft. He just finished up the 2008 QMJHL playoffs with his St. John's Fog Devils. They lost in the first round series to Acadie-Bathurst 4-2. Matt will be staying in St. John's to finish up his courses in Memorial University and then take an extended vacation in Newfoundland. He is a Nova Scotia native and usually rushes home to see his family. With St. John's moving to the Quebec province next year, he wants to stay a little longer to spend time with friends.
