THE MONARCHS' playoff run in the Atlantic Division has slowed to an agonizing crawl.
Today at 3 p.m. the deadline drops for the Monarchs to complete any loan of players with other teams in order to acquire a veteran or two. When the parent club Los Angeles Kings recalled defenseman Jon Klemm yesterday, they took away the only Monarchs' veteran.
In fact, very few moves have been made at all on the AHL level and it's safe to say the phones are not ringing now in the Monarchs' hockey offices. The Monarchs remain in desperate need of veteran stability and leadership,
