A trip home must sound like music to the Kings' ears.
Then again, music is the reason why they were forced on the road in the first place.
The Kings completed a two-week road trip with a 4-2loss to the St. Louis Blues, culminating a 4-3-1 trip for LosAngeles made necessary by the Grammy Awards kicking the team out of the Staples Center for nearly a month.
Still, the Kings, who last played at home Jan. 24, recorded the best eight-game trip in franchise history, producing nine points.
The nine points are tied for second-best in franchise history for any trip for the Kings, who are 9-5-1 in their past 15 games despite the loss.
Players were ready to be home.
"We have tomorrow off," goalie Jason LaBarbera said. "So it'll be nice just to hang out at home and spend time with our families."
