The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Lauri Tukonen from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL), and have assigned forward Brian Boyle to Manchester, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi Sunday announced.
Tukonen, 21, has played in 38 games with the Monarchs this season, and he has 19 points (6-13=19) and 10 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 198-pound native of Hyvinkaa, Finland, has not played with the Kings this season.
Tukonen, who made his NHL debut with the Kings during the 2006-07 season (February 22, 2007 vs. Vancouver), will wear jersey No. 34. Originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (11th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Tukonen has zero points and zero penalty minutes in four career NHL games – all with the Kings in 2006-07.
