Suddenly, there'll be 12 Calgary Hitmen shuffling off to National Hockey League camps early next month.

Third-year goaltender Martin Jones has received a last-minute invitation from the Los Angeles Kings to join their rookie camp.

"It's exciting to get a chance," beamed the six-foot-three, 185-pounder from North Vancouver following a 90-minute skate with several of his teammates Wednesday at Don Hartman SportsPlex.
