The first time, Dustin Brown got a mild look -- part disbelief, part annoyance. The second time? Brown's target got angry. Like, severely angry.
Which is what happens when an unknown kid piledrives Chris Pronger, the haughtiest of stars.
Twice.
"Yeah, I remember that," Brown, the Los Angeles Kings' resident battering ram, says, smiling. "That was the game (in 2005-06) where everyone starting noticing me hitting everybody. I hit him in front of the net, then, later in the game, I hit him in the corner -- he got pretty upset about it.
"Those are the kinds of hits that you remember because it's Pronger. And he does get upset about it." Last season, Brown was No. 2 on the NHL hit parade -- his 258 belts being 30 fewer than Ottawa winger Chris Neil's total.
