If the Ottawa Senators showed any progress since Bryan Murray took over for John Paddock, they undid it all Thursday night, jamming on the brakes and beep-beeping themselves into reverse.
They looked so dreadful in a 2-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings it was difficult to tell which was the worst team in the NHL, though the Kings have a statistical lock on that distinction.
Alexander Frolov, with a second-period, power-play goal, scored the winner, and Patrick O'Sullivan added an empty-net goal with 4.3 seconds left.
