The worst club in the NHL arrived in Nationwide Arena last night, starting a goaltender whose save percentage is a woeful .871 since the lockout.
It wasn't enough to spare the Blue Jackets, whose offensive woes give them little margin for error and might, ultimately, keep them out of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Last night's 3-2 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings before 15,823 was the latest bitter example.
"I look at it as a little bit of a wasted opportunity based on our effort," Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock said. "The thing that's been our nemesis all year is haunting us right now, and that's our inability to garner more than a couple goals a game.
