SUNDAY WAS a day off for the Manchester Monarchs after wrapping up our regular season. I'd be willing to bet that many of you were just like me, glued to the television set watching Trevor Immelman at the Masters grind his way into the record books alongside his boyhood hero and fellow South African, Gary Player.
The No. 80 won't win you many golf tournaments, but the No. 80 in hockey is proof you've completed a full regular season of hockey in the AHL. Last Saturday, our Manchester Monarchs fell a bit short in game 80 to a pesky, aggressive Providence Bruins team by a score of 3-0, but the game was much closer than the score indicated.
