Former Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ron Hextall made a surprise visit to Reading to watch Friday’s practice. Two nights before, the Flyers made Hextall, 43, the 19th member of their hall of fame during a ceremony before their game with Washington at the Wachovia Center.
Now an assistant general manager with the Los Angeles Kings and the head GM of the AHL’s Manchester Monarchs, Hextall was at Body Zone to evaluate some of the organization’s players he doesn’t often get to see.
