On the night the Monarchs celebrated hockey hair -- the redneck mullet -- things on the ice got dang scary.

There was celebration by the 8,355 in Verizon Wireless Arena after the Monarchs led convincingly for two periods. Joy turned to boos as Hershey scored three unanswered goals in the third, pulling out a 4-3 victory.

"Painful," said Monarchs coach Mark Morris.
