Most folks are not happy to be stranded at the airport in Chicago. Kings forward Teddy Purcell was thrilled to be stuck there.
Purcell and defenseman Peter Harrold spent 10 hours at O'Hare International Airport waiting to fly to Edmonton to join the Kings after being recalled from the minors last Monday.
A lengthy airport stay was a small price for Purcell to endure in order to make his NHL debut against the Oilers the following night.
Although, Purcell, who led minor league Manchester with 53 points in 40 games, has yet to register a point in his first three games with the Kings, he seems to be adjusting to the NHL.
