I thought his most interesting quote was that Boyle and Purcell were pushing some of the other guys, specifically singling out Calder. He also has some interesting stuff on the two rookies, including the thought-process behind the organization trying Boyle at defenseman in Manchester. He also talks about Boyle making Frolov and Armstrong better. I'll have player quotes coming up in a separate post shortly.
``It’s a fun team right now, especially with our young forwards coming in and contributing the way that they are. Tonight we talked about coming out here and having a real strong effort, making sure the effort was right at the forefront of everything we did, and I give big kudos to our entire group. I think the play of some of our younger people, especially Boyle and Purcell, was pretty special. Maybe it’s pushing some other guys. That’s probably as good as Calder’s played. He plays well like that and hangs onto the puck like that. Both he and Handzus looked pretty good with Teddy on their flank.
