The Vancouver Canucks were faced with an ugly 0-15-1 record when trailing a game after two periods this season so, apparently, they decided to test themselves Saturday.
They fell behind the bottom-feeding Los Angeles Kings 3-0 by the 6:34 mark of the second period, made it 3-2 before the period was out and then... nothing.
Alexander Frolov ended the comeback bid when he beat Roberto Luongo at 12:20 of the third after both Matt Cooke and Alex Burrows had glorious chances to tie the game.
Mason Raymond pulled the Canucks within one with 4:19 left to make the game exciting and nothing more.
Final score: Kings 4, Canucks 3.
