Daniel Alfredsson is still on the shelf.
The Senators captain wasn't on the ice this morning, didn't make the trip to rink and won't be in the lineup tonight against the Los Angeles Kings as the Senators continue their week-long road trip with a visit to the Staples Center.
Alfredsson is still bothered by muscle spasms he suffered after taking a hit from Anaheim's Francois Beauchemin on a game on Monday. This will be the second straight game he's missed as a result of the injury and there is no timetable for his return.
"He feels better, but he still has a bit of a grab to it," said Murray. "I guess if it was a playoff game he would play, but I don't want to put him in that position."
Murray also revealed tough guy Brian McGrattan will be in the lineup. That could mean defenceman Luke Richardson is going to be a healthy scratch in a back-to-back situation.
