So every once in a while, I guess I put one of my hands on the back of my head (while lying on my back). So when i wake up in the morning, my arm is completely numb. I don't mean it tingles or my hand fell asleep, I mean full-blown I could cut my arm of with a chainsaw and I wouldn't feel it. This numbness is from the shoulder down, and i have to use my other arm to put it back to my side.
Does this happen to anyone else? more importantly, does this hurt my arm in any way? I'm kinda scared that I will both my hands on the back of my head, then wake up and not be able to move either one.
It's happened to me a few times, and several people I know have had it happen too... as far as I know, it's completely harmless. For whatever reason your arm just didn't wake up with the rest of you.
The first time it happened I guess was slightly unsettling, and it was then that I learned how much my arm weighs.
Think of the fun you could have when pairing this phenomenon with the other phenomenon called "morning wood."
I would totally take advantage of it, but i can't move my arm at all, and as soon as i get my arm from behind me hear, the blood flows back into my arm and regain feel in it. It's actually a very weird sensation, having my arm fill up with new blood. kinda cool.
This happens quite often for me... especially if I'm sleeping on my side. My arm would be flat out numb and I can't move it at all for about a minute or so.
Whatever you do... don't do what I did. One time my right arm was numb, I lifted it with my left hand over my head. I have no idea why I let go of my right arm with my left hand, but my right arm fell and it hit me right in the face. Definitely not a fun way to wake up.
Just hope it never happens in one or both of your legs... that'll send your heart out of your chest and piss you off that you can't do anything about it. I imagine it was funny for my wife to see me get out of bed and fall straight to the floor.

LMFAO! I'm sorry, but that was some funny ***** right there.
Btw...I've woken up with that numb arm thing a few times and it's quite unnerving.
