A retired Los Angeles police officer paralyzed when his 3-year-old son fired his father's handgun while riding in the family pickup
A retired Los Angeles police officer paralyzed when his 3-year-old son fired his father's handgun while riding in the family pickup in Anaheim
two years ago filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the gun's manufacturer.
Unfreaking believable!!!!!! I heard about this 2 years ago and wondered what happened to him. I guess all his workers comp or medical retirement money has goane away.
Quote:
The lawsuit alleges that Glock Inc.'s gun was dangerous because its safety device was "nonexistent or ineffective"
at preventing an accidental shot.
There is no external safety on a Glock except for the one between your ears. Talk about not taking responsibility for your actions........
His son was three years old, not in a child seat and was yet clever enough to pop a cap in papa's back! Sounds like a child prodigy to me.
Honestly, who would even let a three year old see a weapon nonetheless get access to it? Maybe daddy didn't have propper firearms training? B/S!!! This is worse that an old lady getting burnt by hot coffee at McDonald's.
The D.A. should sue his lawyer for wasting the court's time on this one.

Who is he going to sue for being paralyzed from the neck up? His parents? "Your honor, it is obvious that two people this stupid should never f***, as it may lead to tragic consequences such as the birth of Mr. Chavez, which is exactly what happened in this case."
The truly scary thought is that this moron was armed and "enforcing the law" on the streets of Los Angeles for ten years. How would you have liked to run into him?
