Finally getting time to post after a bit of a hectic flight out with the terrorism threat at LAX and all. Lucky enough the flight was only delayed a couple of hours.
Anyhow, Ive got a lot of great stories but not a lot of time so Ill try and make this short and sweet with some pics.
Yesterday, the mamasan in law mentioned she was going to the fish market and if there was anyhing I wanted, I told her I wouldnt mind some scallops as I knew every meal comes with shrimp and maguro(last night also had fatty tuna called toro...best I ever had and sorry I didnt take a pic-it looked almost like fresh cut watermelon).
Anyhow..the japanese version of getting scallops is just a it different then that of your local stater brothers.
We then spent the day at the beach in front of where her parents lived and about 1/2 hour or so before we went back inside the wife and my oldest son grabbed a bucket and started collecting something from the rocks. The beach itself is kind of similar to Laguna in that there are areas of smooth sand mixed in with occasional rocky outcrops sprinkling the area and several tide pools. Anyhow...

Ive got a ton of other pics that Ill try and post throughout my stay here but Ill leave with a final couple of assorted pics.
Koi are everywhere...any fresh water area is bound to have a couple.
We went to a hot spring that was one of the most amazing experiences ever. There is no better feeling then being high in the hills standing in knee high steaming hot spring water stark naked with views like this. Ill try and relate the whole experience later but the whole hot spring experience is so amazingly cool. Anyhow here was the view...
Will try and post more later in a day or two. I visited a Samurai Castle that was 400 years old...it was converted into a museum and had authentric honest to god samurai armor and weaponry. They didnt allow pics sadly but it was arguably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Will chat later. F Blake.
