They were all talking abt it in the Oilers forum at HF.
What a terrible thing those passengers went through. Then for the creep to hold the head up in the window and taunt the RCMP was even sicker.
My heart goes out to the victim and his family and friends, as well as to the others on the bus.
But when stuff like this happens, I really have to ask myself, why didn't anyone do anything? Why didn't a few guys go and take this SOB out?
I'm not blaming anyone for not doing anything. It's a scary situation. Maybe I'm an idiot for being in a habit of getting myself involved in situations similar to (but obviously to a far lesser extent than) that. Just seems to me like something could have been done.
Sad, sad thing.

No kidding! No one did anything? You're on a bus for crying out loud. I would have jabbed at him with a high heel or something.
I thought I read that most people were sleeping when the attack started and therefore I imagine it was dark inside the bus.
Perhaps it wasn't clear to everyone else what was happening and maybe once it became clear to some, they were not strong enough to defend the situation, panicked and ran out, followed by those who couldn't tell what was going on.
Perhaps by that time, the victim was beyond help.
I also read that he was swinging the knife at people once they were outside the bus, perhaps he was doing that inside the bus as well.
The whole story will become clearer later, I imagine.

A hunting knife against a group of guys with fists. Hmm, unless one or two guys are willing to get stuck, there's no way you're taking him out in close quarters like that. None.

1 guy vs. a whole bunch? Not convinced, since it seems that if he was hacking so much, there would have been an opening.
Plus, your name doesn't exactly indicate a high moral standing and a willingness to do what's right... just sayin'
