About This Page: This is a discussion on Reality Hipcheck within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Someone suggested I use AAA to help me buy a car. Better price, no hagling, all that. Anyone have any experience with this?

Karma to whomever can finish that.
Yes. Got to your AAA office and say you want a Letter of Introduction to the dealship who sells the car you are interested in (Toyota, Honda, Ford, etc.). You will then be dealing with the Fleet Sales Dept. who will not pressure you at all (salaried).
I recommend Norwalk Toyota. A family owned company. I bought my car from Rick Burgess (Fleet Manager) about 7 months ago. Got a used 2004 Camry for Kelly Bluebook + $300. Tell him Larry T. recommended them if you want.
No, but my wife just bought a car using a broker. The broker did all of the work and we got a great price. She arranged for the car to be delivered to our house and my wife signed all of the loan docs there. I hate buying cars from a dealership and this was a great option. PM your info, I think that i will be seeing her tomorrow.

If buying new, do some research on pricing, etc. and just spend 20 minutes in front of your computer and e-mail a bunch of dealers, they all have an internet department these days. Tell them what you want and how much you're looking to pay - "I want this car, with these options, for this much." That's that.
You don't need AAA, carsdirect.com or anyone else, they all take a cut, so that's money the dealer has to take from you to give to them. It took me about a dozen emails total to find the exact car I wanted for the price I was willing to pay. The first time I set foot inside the dealership was when I went to pick up my car.

It's 2008 people, let's get with the program.
This is the way to go, don't think that by going through a third party that they aren't getting paid. And who's paying them? You are!
