Try USC's dentistry school or any other college for that matter. They usually have students working on you at a free/cheap rate.

Check with a dental school. A dental student is as good as any dentist. Especially a first-year dental student. The one that's about to flunk out.

P.S. I always recommend seeing "Marathon Man" the night before your dentist's appointment. It'll put you at ease.

For the record, it shouldn't cost more than $80 to have your teeth cleaned, if it's just a routine cleaning.

I have dental insurance, but I don't use it because my dentist doesn't accept it, and I LOVE him. It's worth every penny. He's seriously THE most gentle dentist I've ever been to. And that says a lot, because I have a severe phobia of dentistry.

Help a dental hygiene student and sit in their chair usually for free, you need a cleaning and they need mouths to work on. My girl is a dental hygiene student and is in the last few months of school and by that point they are pretty damn good, I just sat in her chair last thursday and everything is fine despite what people think about any student practitioner.
