About This Page: This is a discussion on Reality Hipcheck within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. This makes me so mad... I have been using Emergen-C and Airborne for years!
Wonder what drug company was behind this?
abc11.com: Airborne to Refund Consumers 3/04/08
Half of medicine seems to be believing what you are doing is going to work. (Sorry I don't have any data to back that up, don't sue me). That lawsuit sounds like complete BS to me.
Who still is going to have their receipt and proof of purchase to get the money back?
Consumers without receipts are eligible to receive money back for as many as six packages each, based on average retail prices of the products. Those prices range from $2.75 per box of Gummi lozenges to $10.50 per box for Airborne Seasonal.
Sounds like every man and woman in the country can claim $63. Or at least the first 37,000 can until the $23.3M runs out.
It's easier to take than vitamin pills for some people. That just might be their competitive edge and what keeps those people feeling better (who might not take vitamins otherwise). I took it everyday when in Ireland last year and fealt great....then again, I just might have been pickled most of the time.
I personally would never think of joining this class action.
Since its creation in 1999 by a former second grade schoolteacher, Airborne sales have soared, surpassing $100 million by 2006.

Airborne will pay $23.3. million to settle a class action lawsuit
Not only was it a sweet run but it was worth every penny. Especially when it turns out that they only pay out like $2 million of the $23.3 million that their customers are entitled too.
