Uncharted, Drake's Fortune

If you own a PS3, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. Great graphics and great gameplay. Has a little bit of a 'Tales of the Gold Monkey' feel to it - if you remember that tv show. Just a fun, fun game to play.

I played the demo. Aiming a crosshair with a controller is way too hard for me.

But the console wars are stupid. I like having options, myself. And this game rocks. It gets better and better the more I play.

You're missing out on a ton of great games. RE4, Gears of War (although that's out on the PC now), just to name a few. Are you a strictly PC guy?

The PS3 has alot to offer. The Blu-ray player is great, plus it upscales DVD's great to. Not to mention the game library isn't as bad as alot of people make it out to be - I must own 6 or seven games- and it has a ton of potential for future games such as MGS4. That being said it is a big investment. You really need an HDTV and surround sound to get your moneys worth.


I love the PS3. Damn girlfriend loves the PS3 too. That's why I'm on LGK right now - because she got to the PS3 first. We've halfway considered getting a second one

Don't know if that helped - but I haven't regretted buying my PS3 once.

I'd wait on the PS3 and go for a 360 now. Plenty of excellent games on the 360, not many( yet ) on the PS3.

That's totally it, but "Tom Raider" in spirit only...not its totally frustrating unresponsive control system. This game is so much fun and the graphic details are amazing...Just a supreme pleasure. I was glad to have played Gears before this - so falling into the combat mode was really easy...even if you haven't, the learning curve is easy and you've plenty of opportunities to hone your skills.

I was playing Tomb Raider 'Anniversary' before we picked up Drake's...and let's just say my PS2's collecting a nice little layer of dust right now.

As far as First person shooters go, yes, strictly PC.

Game play-wise, the game is only 8 hours long. The good thing is, you will want to keep playing it over and over.

The only thing stopping me from buying it is the replay value. Would i really want to play it more than twice??? But yeah, I love the PS3!!!

I guess it depends on how much stuff you like to collect/do. It has 60 treasures to find plus a ton of 'achievements' to accomplish if you want.

And KingsNate - I must suck bad, I'm not done with my first time and I must be at 12 hrs or so. I like spending time just looking around.

I'm really considering buying the PS3...I almost pulled the trigger on the 20% off deal they had at Kmart (80 gig for 399) but I just couldn't do it. Then I saw what I was missing out on (Rock Band, CoD4, Assassin's Creed, Drakes, NHL 08) and now I want it again.


What really sells me is the Playstation @ Home feature...streaming DVDs to your friends place sounds like a cool way to share movies and content...
