About This Page: This is a discussion on Gamer Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. im thinking of getting one but i hear that they break down.Which one should i get?
people that have 360 what do u think of it?
Get the premium, the middle version, the extra size on the harddisk on the elite isn't worth it unless you want to download original xbox games which usually take up 4-6GB. Before when the elite was the only one with an hdmi port, it would have been worth it, but now that the premium has the hdmi port also, don't bother with the elite.
I've owned a Wii since it's launch over a year ago, I bought my 360 in november 07 and I've got more play and entertainment out of the 360 in a much shorter period of time. The one thing I'll ding the 360 on(which is a double edged sword for it) is that most of it's AAA or top games are first or third person shooters. This is good for me because I love shooters, but it can be bad if you want something different(Ace Combat 6!)

Get the 360...I need more LGK ass to kick in NHL08.
What Loso said is true. The 360 is the system to get if you love a goood shooter. Get the Elite if you want to do things like use the 360 to store your Mp3 collection. It's better than upgrading in the future because the HD cost $180 to upgrade from 20 to 120gb. Plus....it's freaking black man. I wish I had one.
eh, i'd probably get the premium (the one with the 20gb hd) if had to do it again. i have the elite now. the extra space is nice, but i don't really download much. at the time, i got it for the hdmi port, but now all the new 360s have hdmi ports. i'd also recommend the ps3, but thats a whole new topic and i don't want to start a war in this thread. i'd at least give the ps3 a look before you go out and buy a 360. its worth it if you have an hdtv purely for the blu ray player.

I think the PS3 has tons of potential(the most of the 3 consoles out now), but we still need to wait for the big big name titles.
i recently got an Xbox 360 after not having purchased a console since the first week of the PS1's American release.
after consulting with several people here and a few friends who include a tester, a couple of "Live" gamer freaks, and an employee at Activision, they all urged me to have at it with the 360... i'm not very adept at 1st person shooters and stuff (but i AM interested in them), so they though it'd be a good bang for my buck and will really occupy my time well while i learn.
besides, i heard that the Madden game just outright destroys... and was told that the 360 was really beginning to replace the Sega to Sony to -- for sports games in general.

You made the right choice. Although I haven't played Madden 08 I also heard that it was amazing. The games I think you should have on your list...
Call of Duty 2,3 & especially 4
NHL 08
Forza 2
Gears of War
Bioshock
Rainbow Six Vegas
Halo 3
Oblivion Elder Scrolls
Assassin's Creed
That's 11 games that I have either gone through or at least played a little of and I couldn't recommend them more. Some of them can be had really cheap. In fact you can probably pick up copies of Call of Duty 2 & 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Obvlivion for a combined $100 or less. Those 4 games are all fantastic and will get you off to a great and economical start.
If you just want to dive into the best of the best then without question I'd go for Gears of War, Call of Duty 4 and Bioshock. Hands down the 3 best shooters available on the 360 and despite all being shooters they are all a unique gaming experience.
