So I have always been a big believer that Guitar Hero was... well .... pretty ****in gay.....
My mother surprised me one day with a huge box, and she explained that everyone had been raving about this game and she thought i would enjoy it....
The box: Rock Band for my PS3....
I kinda cringed and thought about what i could get if i returned it but i thought what the hell and set it up....
WOW... i don't think i have had this much fun playing a game in years.... I played the drums growing up and setting up the 5 piece drum set and having 3 buddies over, getting stoned and playing music might be my new favorite activity....
You have to be able to let go and let your horrible singing voice ring loudly and not be a complete douche bag who is to cool to have fun but I would def. recomend this game to anyone who isn't a closet hermit who has friends that would join him for a drink/smoke and enjoys music.!

Seriously, it's a hell of a party game. There's a lot of great downloadable tracks too but beware, the game WILL use them in the Band World tour, so if you don't want to be surprised by having to played Blackened or Ride The Lightning, you've been warned.
But you can download a 3 song pack:
Ride the Lightning, Blackened and Justice for All. Awesome...and challenging.
We're having a blast with this game...already downloaded some Black Sabbath too. We're hoping that some Guns n' Roses will be available soon. They're supposed to be adding three songs a week.
I finally picked this up the other day, what a blast! My wife, who hates video games, has been playing bass and lead guitar and loving it. This is a great group game, I really hope that Harmonix keeps up on the regular DLC, and keep the offerings diverse at that. Metallica is great, I'm looking forward to more Guns and Roses, would love some more Nirvana, even more Garbage. This game could end up with almost infinite replayability.

We play this game during our breaks at work. Lots of fun when you have a big group. I have Guitar Hero 3 at home. Though they are both fun, GH3 is much more challenging.

The games totally dope. Me and my wife have already rocked through it (me on guitar, her on vocals) on the PS2 and that sucks cause there are no downloads, but we had a hell of a lot of fun. Can't wait to get a 360 one day...
And yeah, it's not near as hard as GH3. That game on expert is punishing.
This game is really fun. The guitars were cheaply made. My friend had to send in his guitar because it broke. Last night the peddle for the bass drum cracked in half. We had to rig it with a make shift splint. Still a fun game though.
It's going to be released on the ps2 soon actually, but it's going to be a scaled back version and without being able to download new songs, it kinda loses some of the fun IMO.
