About This Page: This is a discussion on Gamer Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. I'm thinking about renting it....should I or shouldn't I? What should I expect?
Discuss, my hockey loving gaming bitches.
I rented it from gamefly and I was pretty disappointed with it. I've read about how great it is but I just didn't get it. I hated the controls and I had no idea what was going on storywise. I sent it back after a couple of hours.

I rented it also. It was good, but not as good as it is hyped...
Half Life II - a bit slow. Only played part of the beginnig
Portal - overrated. Interesting FP Puzzle game. But not as good as the critics say.
TF2 - I can see how this can be awesome.
OP my friend have fun with this one on Xbox Live. I do not have it yet, but I may get...not too sure yet cause I still need to get GH3 and Rock Band along with NHL 2K8 or NHL 08 and Tony Hawk:Proving Grounds
I don't know what you ****ers are complaining about. I love this package. For one, it's great value. You're getting 5 games for the price of one. And second, the games are awesome. Haven't played Team Fortress much, but Portal was really fun, and you can't go wrong with HL2. I think it's worth owning
HL2 is a fantastic game, HL2: EP 1 was good, but not as good as HL2, and EP2 is ****ing awesome. I hadn't played HL2 for a while, so I started at the beginning again and ended up just beating them all in one sitting. So great.
Portal is great fun. The puzzles are almost always interesting (a lot of it is tutorial-style, but still fun) and I enjoyed the "story". Plus the challenges and such get difficult and get you thinking.
TF2 is awesome if you like run-and-gun class-based shooters. Running up on people and killing them with an aluminum baseball bat as the scout is always fun. Being a spy is great, disguising and backstabbing poor bastards. Lighting everyone on fire and burning out spies as a pyro is fun as well. I'm going to stop before I talk about every class.
I don't know how the controls are on 360 though, I've got it on PC.
My friend bought me this game for X-Mas and let me just say it is the best deal you'll ever find in a video game. The Half-Life series is similar in ways to Halo but possibly a little bit better, the in-game storyline is great. Team Fortress 2 is superb online fun, it's a little hard once you start playing but eventually you'll see what the craze is about. And Portal.... = teh titz.
