so i just finished my first BAP season... We (The Kings) won the presidents trophy, and stanley cup. Vancouver put up the most fight, taking the series to game 7, including a 3-2 lead before we came back and won it. The the Oilers went down in 5, the Avs in 6, and finally, swept the Bruins in the finals. My BAP won the Calder, and Lester B Pearson (which was weird cause the coach initially congratulated me for wining the Heart too, but when I looked at the awards list, Martin Biron was listed as the winner. Also, during the Stanley Cup presentation, Bernier was handed the Con Smythe, but the Awards page said it went to Jarred Stoll...) Overall, I had a decent season, scoring 43 goals in 60-something games, and surpassed all my season expectations. I wasn't so hot in the playoffs, though, scored 11 goals which was good enough for 2nd on the team (Stoll lead the team and the league with 16.)
The off-season was kind of nutty. The Kings let O'Sullivan, Purcell, and Boyle go via UFA. They signed Sundin, Gaborik, and some other scrubs. And one thing that i noticed was that there was no draft... which kinda sucks. So now I'm starting season 2 on the second line with Kopi and Hanzus... while Gaborik, Sundin and Lettinen ride the first, Brown, Stoll and some UFA ride the third... dont even remember who's on the 4th. I'm gonna set that one aside for now and try my luck as a Defensive D, or Goalie...

Sweet! Awesome story. I hope more people share about their experiences.
I play as a Defensive Defesemen. Started with Manchester, got called up after 13 games. Played about 10 or so games with the Kings (made it to the 1st line) and then got traded to the Canadiens. The Canadiens were dead last, but now after 65 games in the season, they're in 1st. So I'm sitting pretty so far.
I have played all my games so far, 10 minute periods. None simmed (I never simulate). I have 28 Goals and 65 Assists with a +71 so far in the NHL. (Unrealistic stats for a rookie, especially the +/-) It's getting near the playoffs so I'm pretty excited, in a weird way.

I'm still stuck in Manchester, scoring about a goal a game....i am 4th in the league in scorign, and am now wearing the "A"....but haven't gotten a call up...it's been about 20 games.
I'm in my second season of BAP, I signed a 3 year deal with the Kings even though they offered the least amount of money of any of the teams. I'm a 6'4 220 pound Power Forward.
My rookie season I played 18 games in Manchester before being called up with 23 goals and 3 assists. I would have gotten more assists but every time I would try to set a player up they would just shoot wide. When I was called up to the Kings they were dead last in the league but after I got there we went on a tear. We won the Cup and the Kings swept everyone in the playoffs except the Canucks, who lost in 5. I led the league in points, made the all-star team and won every trophy you could win except the masterton, lady byng and norris.
The off-season went pretty terrible for the Kings, as it usually does. Sully, JMFJ, Armstrong, Thornton, Nagy, Greene, Gauthier, Boyle, Purcell, and LaBarbera all bolted for other cities via free agency. I immediately regretted signing my 3 year deal. The Kings signed Frederik Sjostrom, Jeff Woywitka, Bryan Allen, some euro defenseman, Ben Guite and Antero Niitymaki. Pretty ****ty, huh? I'm hoping these next 3 years go by fast, and if they don't sign some big names I'm going to get the hell out of here as fast as I can

Just recently got the game. I've been in Manchester for 17 games playing on the first line with Boyle. So far I have 22 goals and 1 assist. I can't get the bastards to score goals! Also, I'm glad they fixed the tripping issues we were having with previous versions. While they fixed that, they increased the cross-checking penalties. I have only been penalized for cross-checking so far. Very cool game overall.

I don't know if you are doing this or not but you might try the "call for shot" button. My stats are more balanced because I call for cpu shots when I center the puck or shots from the point. Works great when you operate behind the net.
I came across a problem with my online BAP / EASHL player last night, in which I lost all of my distributable attribute points. Has anybody else experienced this? All of my stats are still correct. I'm about 15 points away from my new card and more points, and most certainly don't want to start over.
