Just called the new gamestop in Redlands, they have 1 and there holding it, I'm otta here!!
Have you signed up in the other thread for the LGK EASHL team? Sign up over there and I'll add whoever is online tonight to the team. Let's see if we can get a couple games in tonight.
Coming down the left wing I fired a shot on net that the goalie covered up. Just as I was skating by I took a chance and poke checked the goaltender. Lo and behold, the puck slips through the goalie's legs and into the net as the defensemen look on in confusion.
Seems as though you can be rewarded for jabbing at the goalie this year, which provides more incentive for defensemen to keep the crease clear. Hopefully these types of goals don't happen too often though....but it was fun to watch.

ha yeah i've managed to score like that its well. its kinda tedious though having to frantically shove the right stick forward in an attempt to jam it in.
some of that last sentence kinda sounded raunchy. oops.
Anyone try being a goalie yet? Reaction time is SO important. And Manchester keeps hanging me out to dry. They can't score! If I'm not perfect, the chances are we lose. Kinda sucks, really.

I was messing around in the EASHL menu and set up a team for us... I have no idea how to invite people to join it though.
Try searching for it with this info:
Name: Team LGK
Abbreviation: LGK
If it lets you join, go for it. Or someone has a better idea for a team name, make a league and figure out how to add people.
ya you go to the club invitation portion of the game press x to send invites then you just put in the name of your budy's gamertag send it and your friend should see the invite in his club invitation section

Does anyone else find it a little unrealistic how quickly you recover from a shift and are able to be on the ice so much? Don't get me wrong, I understand this from a "fun gameplay" standpoint, but it is a wee bit unrealistic.
Does changing the difficulty setting affect this? I know you can change the fatigue sliders individually and such, but I am not a big fan of doing this with games...I like to play in as much of a "standardized" environment as possible.

You're right. I think they did the "fast recovery" because technically, we're playing. I think EA might have feared that people would complain about having to sit on the bench for over half the game.
But as a 3rd line defenseman, I was getting 40+ minutes a game.. which is hilarious.

And there's the accelerated periods, too.

Hmm...very good point. I wonder if you were to play with 20 minute periods if the fatigue recovery would take longer, reflecting the real time clock. Probably not, but would be cool if it did.
Guess I'm gonna have to bump the difficulty setting (just to satisfy my own curiosity) and see it that makes a difference.
