Apparently Best Buy is going to have the game available at 2PM on Tuesday. I don't know about Gamestop as they are usually wrong.
Last year, I bought NHL 08 at Circuit City. Their ad says "In stores by 1 PM or you get a free 10 dollar gift card".
I got there at 12:50 PM. Asked for it. They said they'll look for it. They seriously took like 40 minutes to find it in the back. I asked them if I can get my 10 dollar gift card since it was 1:30 PM. They refused to give it to me, saying that "they had it".
That's just retarded though... they need to have it on their damn shelf by 1 pm. Oh well. That was last year.
I'll check with Best Buy tomorrow then... the one in Pasadena after I get off work at 1 pm.

The sooner the game gets here, the sooner the frustration sets in. My wife continually asks me WHY I play that game when it gets me SO frustrated at times. It seems to be the only game I ever play that gets me all wound up. I guess it has something to do with things like going into the zone, making 3 perfect passes, getting the goalie out of position, shooting and somehow he makes a miraculous save only to have them come back into my zone and lob a weak wrist shot from the blue line and have it go straight in.

That can be frustrating.
I think with the addition of Be A Pro online, it will be a much more challenging, but equally gratifying way to play the game. To only need to worry about YOUR position first, can only benefit you and your play.
We'll see. Hopefully I'll have mine in my hands tomorrow night to begin the "quest."
Yeah, I went to Best Buy today and they told me to come back tomorrow. Why the **** would you put Tuesday on the ad then?
But that's okay. I'm heading out to the Big A tonight to see the Angels clinch tonight (hopefully) so that'll keep me busy until tomorrow after work. Then it's NHL 09 frenzy! =P
gamestop said tomorrow, bestbuy and circuit city said today but they hadn't gotten their shipments yet. said they werent supposed to have them in a few hours ago but still got nothing. did someone hijack the ups truck delivering these??
