Since the league seems to have come to a bit of a stalemate, I thought it'd be fun if we got a tournament together. I'd like to keep it to 8 teams, 4 from the east and 4 from the west. To keep it fair, the Kings are the only team that we can't use.
Ideally, I'd like to have each round between two teams be a best of 3 series, where the two owners have one week to complete the series. The games take about 25 minutes or so, so 3 games per week shouldn't be too hard to schedule and complete, although if it does seem a bit too much for enough of us, we can extend it to however long we need.
If there's enough interest to fill out the 8 spots, and we're all pretty sure we can complete the three games within the timeframe, we might actually be able to pull it off. I have yet to join a league or tournament that has made it all the way through.
Once I know we can get 8 people, I'll set up an "official" thread and try to get a graphic of the tournament tree up and make it all pretty Also feel free to suggest different rules, ideas, etc in this thread.
Anybody in? If so, just post with your desired teams, one from the east, one from the west, in order of preference. Hopefully we have no conflicts and everyone gets their first choice. (Remember, the Kings are in rebuild mode and are not making the playoffs).
1) Watti - Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens
2) Orange Puck - Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins
3) Cross Traffic - Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils
4) KingsNate - San Jose Sharks, Washington Capitals
5) gokings71 - Chicago Blackhawks, N.Y. Islanders
6) ASUcruz - Calgary Flames, New York Rangers
7) spjon25 - Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators
8) KOPI! PEVS! - Mystery Team East, Mystery Team West

I see someone else (who is not a fan of them) took my Red Wings!!!!! That should be a criteria..I will give OP his Ducks since he has a chubby for them just like I have my chubby for the Wings

You might still get be able to get the Wings. I'm working diligently with high level engineers at MIT to develop a formula to assign the teams in a fair manner based on some sort of variable, especially considering that it seems everyone's first choice is in the West...
We just have two more spots to fill. If you're up for it, go ahead and post your preferred teams and we'll see how it works out.

Just to clarify my first choice isn't the Western team(Flames) just picked them cause it was the first one to come to mind. Give me either one and I'll be fine.
