I have to agree with this. Why would you buy a PS3?
Blu-ray, starting to come out with some great games (ie. Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank), internet browsing, upscaling DVD's, future DVR capabilities, photo/video/music sharing, built like a tank, huge potential with the cell processor, etc.

The blu-ray argument would hold some weight with me if we knew that was going to be the technology going forward, but I'll be dammed if I'm going to go out and spend $30-50 a pop on movies in a format that may be dead in a year or two. I'll let you guys fight that fight and just wait for the winner...

I don't know where you buy your movies, but most Blu-rays can be bought on Amazon for between $20-$25.

A friend of mine and I were in Toys R Us a few nights ago. He was playing Folklore, I was playing Ace Combat 6. We both could appreciate the games we were playing, but felt pretty meh overall as them being temptation to buy a system. The whole PS3/360 debate, whatever, you get one or the other and you'll find stuff you enjoy on it... Folklore looked pretty damn cool, but all and all it is nothing new or anything that makes me wax nostalgic and want to spend hours and hours in front of it. Sadly... the best system out today, well, nobody really even talks about... Holy crap is there great stuff on the DS.
